About Dr. Shoaib
Dr Ahmad Shoaib is a Consultant Cardiologist and Interventional Cardiologist with extensive experience across general cardiology, coronary artery disease, heart failure and complex coronary intervention. He completed his specialist training in the United Kingdom and holds specialist qualifications in both Cardiology and Internal Medicine.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) and a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP UK). Throughout his career, Dr Shoaib has combined clinical expertise, academic research and contemporary cardiovascular guidelines to deliver evidence-based and individualised care — centred on establishing the correct diagnosis, selecting appropriate investigations and treatments, and explaining conditions and options clearly so patients can make informed decisions about their heart health.

He is an experienced coronary interventionist and has performed more than 2,500 percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) procedures, with particular expertise in complex coronary artery disease — including left main and bifurcation PCI, chronic total occlusion (CTO) intervention, and the treatment of heavily calcified coronary disease.
This procedural experience draws on contemporary techniques including IVUS and OCT intracoronary imaging, coronary physiology, rotational atherectomy and intravascular lithotripsy, complemented by a broad general cardiology practice encompassing chest pain, heart failure, breathlessness, palpitations, hypertension and valvular heart disease.
